THE TIME HAS COME The time has come for us (Humanity, Mankind, HomoSapiens) to realize that we can no longer ignore the importance of the existence of all species besides ours, be it animals or plants, for the vital maintenance and healthy existence of our own species. We are now in a way, compelled to take notice of an eternal truth that we may be the most intelligent and powerful among all the other species upon the earth, but our survival depends on our respect and care in the preservation and conservation for the smallest of the small animal and plants. All the species upon this earth have as much right as humans to flourish on this planet. Ignorance of this vital and delicate truth have caused many disasters and will continue to do so again and again, catching us unaware. We remain afloat in the illusion of quick money and affluence. The darkness of our greed leads us to acquire more than we can use in one lifetime. We can either survive nor maintain a healthy Planet, our earth, with the help of any amount of scientific and technological madness, if we fail to understand and preserve the animal and plant species. Can we find a single scientist, among those who have invented or created the scientific wonders, who were not first keen observers of Nature? In the today’s hybridized world of artificial splendor, it seems to be infinitesimal an effort to elucidate the indispensable and un substitutable need of a country-side small and insignificant weed; yet the survival of the twenty first century Homo-sapiens of the computer-mindset, is cent percent inter linked with it. But still, without knowledge of the life saving properties of these indigenous species of plants, these cultivated and uncultivated weeds, we must find out how to preserve our lives including the lives of plants and animals. We must find out the lost link, rediscover the key of the past intimacy that once exisited between kingdom of weeds and humans. Only their contribution can keep us naturally healthy and simultaneously happy Page - 21 My intention in this book is to make the commonest of common persons aware of the beneficial qualities of weeds, so that before running to a doctor or medical store he or she can look at the backyard of the house or at the road-side to find simple remedies for the common ailments, (which if neglected could leads to greater complications) like; cough, cold, headache, body pain, skin rush, fever, diarrhoea, dysentery, acidity, constipation, . vomitting, etc Page - 22 |
